Steward continues to further dig himself into a hole he may never be able to crawl out of...

But yeah, he's getting pretty unhinged here. It won't be soon until one of his higher-ups is gonna come by and give him a good talking to.

The trouble with Steward is
that he’s both right and wrong.
Just because they don’t enforce
doesn’t mean they’re not strong.
Solving trouble in an instant
curtails Human advances;
renders science redundant
as people don’t take chances.
Plus it means he didn’t listen
to dear old Mr Euodant.
When he hears what plans E has
perhaps Steward will then recant?

Nah….

Judging from Lois's look in the last panel, I think this is her "oh crap" realization that this is far more serious than she could have ever thought.

Yeah. methinks Steward is now on the crazy train. Plus, I'm pretty sure his downfall is coming very soon (Anyone who boasts that much tends to fail to pay attention to everything else).

Well, it's not Paradise Lost, but Milton would have felt a certain poetic kinship. Good pivot from Valentine's Day there, Rick!

To be fair it kind of gave me mood whiplash. But you know what? It works.

Turn everyone into animal is demon Steward plan, alright, as way to be the tyrant against Heaven, guilt to don't give a beautiful live on Earth... :? Dunno if for Heaven is fine with that or not, but your severe description of it actually works, indeed. But on his side, it's yes an evil plan, but also a pretty pointless one, apparently... What will he get, then? Demon Steward is scary and mad than ever now, that's sure.

Steward doesn't seem to be as smart as he thinks he is if he can't pick up on the fact that Lois is stalling.

He isn't; no tyrant is.

I'm also starting to come around to the idea that Bahamut is smarter than he presents himself to be, and that this whole thing is playing it the way it is in part to teach Kitsune a lesson.

Why be so irresponsible? Easy; because he can fix it, regardless of the final outcome, just as Steward had said here. "But Phyco! Why would you just assume that's Steward's right that Heaven can undo everything?"

Why did we assume that Kitsune is right that they can't? Yes, he looked very serious when he said that was the case, but that's just evidence that he's not lying about it. Telling the truth is not synonymous with correct.

Oh, Steward. Everybody always says they want a big, strong authority figure (god, king, or some such) to step in and fix all the worlds ills.
Up until someone actually tries.
I'd say consider that maybe, just maybe, the immortals, who by definition live forever, maybe have a bit more experience on this than you.

. . . . . . which, in this situation, probably work better than "Betty Davis" eyes.

Aren't the Demons also immortal?

I would assume they would have to be if they are the equivalent to the Celestials. If not then it would seem like Heaven is way too overpowered in that they can live forever and demons die.

Wonder how Stewie would react if Lois gave him a Bugs Bunny style suction cup kiss on his nose as he says "I will"

Yes, but Steward is new to this. And I highly doubt Eudont has anything good planned for the world.

At this point I am pretty sure that Steward doesn't care about what the cost to him may be. He just wants to destroy Keene and anybody else who is trying to help him.

A whole darn city all filled with fluffs?
Might be great for us anthro buffs,
But for the people within this tail,
They'll see the world on a different scale.

Heaven won't be seen as despots, Steward says,
They really could just flick him down,
But no, they're "humble" for the rest of their days,
So now, Lois, he's going to town.
