Title Text: Whenever you go, then you are

Tarot would know, Todd, her roommate is like this all the time.

Todd, the past is the future
and the present’s the past;
now make like a tourist
and go have a blast.
Something’s awry here;
we all of us know that;
because the last time ended
with Tarot feeling flat.
He’s right to be concerned
with all that he’s learned.
It can’t be this quick;
there has to be a trick...

First panel is a work of art...and that cat is also pretty cute.

Ptah in drag? - I loved Egypt; visited often in my service days!

Bast.

As in the Egyptian goddess?

Tricks are being played...

Or an ancestor? Todd might be beginning to show that he might not be so dumb after all, given the fact that he and others were transmogrified into animals it isn’t illogical to suppose that time travel is a possibility. Considering the fact that three of Tarot’s close friends are cats, she knows all about their mannerisms.

She's also making appearances in a fashion comic in the Wall Street Journal Magazine ... ;)

Oh, this is getting good :3

I'm pondering if she's related to Res in any way? Hmm...

So is it possible that the cat that they have been encountering is Ptah's many times great-granddaughter? Just have to ask since she looks like she could be related to him.

Or they're all out cold on the plane and the goddess Bast is at play. Note that Marion and Lois, who didn't seem affected on the plane, aren't here? (Yet..?)

And they arrived in Cairo. :) It's not really so, Todd, and you're in the present. ;) Oooh, what a charming cat, and her name Bast certainly takes from an Egyptian goddess. :D Eheh, that ear tickle... :lol: Are you saying that due to experience gained with Sabrina, Tarot? :P Cats in Egypt have a great history. ;)

Just remembered something.

Bast had a consort.

Ptah.

I think that we all do and Rick took that into account which is why we now have the new cat here in Egypt. LOL

Looking at the character tags, not sure if this character is just named after a goddess or is some incarnation of the actual goddess...

I am guessing that we will find out at some point. Gonna be really interesting to see where it all goes.

Ah, I see.

Tarot passed out because it was time for a scene change, but we blew a lot of budget on that first panel and there wasn't enough left to add a dissolve or even a wipe.

"Cats are just like that."
No matter what the set-up, this punchline always fits among the best jokes ever told.

Looking back - what was even the point of giving the cat lady a character tag, much less naming her after a famous figure from Egyptian mythology? Nothing ever came of this.

Every character gets a tag, no matter how small. Even the TV has a tag.

The TV really was such a great recurring character even though we usually heard it only. It was so popular it appeared at least 22 times! :D

It probably appeared more but that was all the tags I counted. Pretty sure it might have been under a few tags also.

Well if we didn't see at least ONE Egyptian cat I'm sure some of us would have been disappointed. So Rick made sure to include one in the scene where they are in Egypt!

Whether she was an actual cat or forcibly transformed is another thing entirely... :?

Unlikely that Steward got as far as Egypt, and this was before the worldwide curse went into a effect.

Then we get to see an actual cat in Egypt which is a country that many people think is synonymous with cats! This was before Rick decided to take the easy way out of transforming part of the world against their will. :roll:

The closest descendant of Ptah would be Gale but I think she is much more likely a descendant of the Saber Cat instead. Not sure if Ptah has any descendants as we know that Mungo is one of Satau.

I don't think it would have been Grape because Satau's descendant was an exact carbon copy of him appearance-wise. Plus if Grape was Ptah's descendant, that would have been WAY too weird because Ptah was actively HITTING on her. I don't care how many times removed they are related hitting on your descendant is just CREEPY. 🤮

I never saw the movie and only saw the sequel once when I was in elementary school so I can't comment. But I would say that sounds just as creepy. :?
