New Site Design

Thoughts? I'm not particularly good at coding, and I'm still a ways away from being a color-matching expert, but if you have any advice on the topic I'd like to hear it

I really like the new color scheme, except for the toolbar at the top. The dark gray doesn't really fit with the rest of the page- I'd just go with more blue or something.

But that's just me. I can barely match my clothes when I get up in the morning.

I kinda left it black because I wasn't sure what other color to go with

The new design is pretty neat indeed. As for the top toolbar, why not use #3D261F?

Cause it's still kinda dark; also before I slapped a header onto all the pages to put the top of the door on, I thought it might look strange. I was actually thinking of putting the wood background on it though but I dunno

Okay I do have a question I'd like to posit: does anyone think that the interrupted borders behind the comic are distracting?

Actually, I didn't even notice that until you mentioned it. I think it's fine.

Yeah I like the interrupted borders, it lets you see the backgroun. I dunno, I just think it looks nice.

I still think the background's a little off, along with the nav bar. Haha, maybe you should put grass along the bottom or something, and so the blue will look more like the sky or something. I dunno. Either way, I was put a bit off by it at first, but I've gotten used to it now, and it's good. Interestingly done, too.

I would have put grass at the bottom if I could figure out how to do that

Can't you just more or so get the normal background(that loops into another wooden peice) and add on a /png/ Grass figure with transparency? I mean not like adding it as part OF the looping background because then you'de have grass all the way down. I mean like bordering it over the bottom on the page?

I could, but the background image is being used by the gradient effect at the top

Hmm, so there's no place for the grass to actually go. Is the gradient effect just a typed in effect or is it a actual picture itself?

It's a picture. There isn't a way to do a gradient effect with just CSS

=3=....

Then Have the Dog House IN with the gradient effect as one picture and OVER that picture make a transparent fill all the way to the bottom on it and have the grass there.

I'm no programmer, or artist, but either way that sounds like a bit of work there U:
