Dear LORD man you can put more than one attachment in each post, you know! I will start deleting posts if you do that again
I was going to make a joke but then I did.

I'm very sorry Ebly! I was always under the impression that the total file size was 256 kb for the multiple amounts of pictures uploaded. This will never happen again.

Re: North Korea
even then all the images you've posted have been about or under 60, so you could have put four in each post
anyway don't be afraid to post them, just don't do them one each post

Re: North Korea
Don't worry, I didn't find you threatening. I got busy for the rest of the night so I didn't have time to post the remaining pictures.
Pictures (From bottom to top):
1) American helicopter which was used for spying during the Korean War
2) Kim Il Sung's kitchen (the house his family once lived in) which as you can see is very basic
3) Pyongyang scenery from the highest mountain in Kim Il Sung's town

Re: North Korea
Those are some amazing stuff! The Mass Games is always amazing! And I am especially impressed by the Embroidery arts, they look alive!
I won't feel comfortably standing around with a soldier though... :p But that's just me, I guess!
I am not truly interested, but I suppose seeing war machines from the past is an one-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Did they let you touch it? My guess is no though... XD

I dunno, the Soldiers I know are pretty nice guys. Oh, you folks are talking about North Korean soldiers. I understand that a bit more.

Re: North Korea
I was actually referring to any soldiers... But then again, I never get to know any of them well.
It is kind of funny though, since I thought myself as a military type...

Re: North Korea
To be fair, the North Korean soldiers are probably pretty nice guys too. It's just what they're told to do that some might find questionable.

I just read a book, and all the characters are going to North Korea. And then a clicked on the topic by accident.
....that's weird....

Re: North Korea
I just noticed this thread for some reason, so let me just say that this looks like an amazing trip. It sounds like quite the opportunity, considering the North Koreans isolationist attitude.

1) Beautiful scenery from my hotel room at Mount Myongdong (I think it's called)
2) Female traffic officer in Pyongyang (being unmarried is actually a requirement for being a traffic officer!)
3) Tower of Juche

Re: North Korea
1) Tiger painting from the Pyongyang Art Studio (this artist has been nominated as one of the best artists in the DPRK and he often receives government commissions)
2) His attention to the minor details (I almost touched the painting, thinking it was real fur but luckily I didn't)
3) Pyongyang tube train (one of the deepest networks in the world)

Re: North Korea
I've always been curious as to what the difference between North Korea and South Korea? Besides the fact that ones in the North and ones in the South.
If I recall correctly the only reason they're devided is a war insighted by other countries supporting two different leaders. If they ever unify again they'll feel like the USA feels about Vietnam. Wasn't the USA oneof those backing forces of South Korea?

It's a long, violent, political story, so I'm going to link you to a couple wiki articles and be done with itHaru Totetsu wrote:I've always been curious as to what the difference between North Korea and South Korea? Besides the fact that ones in the North and ones in the South.

Re: North Korea
Thank you for the links Ebly, they were very informative (I can scan read(is that what you call it?), and I've saved the links to re-check the information, just in case). Though to me it still seems like a very silly reason to divide...they could have at least changed the names instaed of just adding North and South to Korea. Politics...it really ruins things sometimes, yet we couldn't be "civil" without it.
Re: North Korea
well that's pretty much why it's out-of-bounds on the forumHaru Totetsu wrote:Politics...it really ruins things sometimes, yet we couldn't be "civil" without it.

Re: North Korea
Hence why I love this forum. Politics is too...messy. Like chocolate, only the unpleasent effect from large amounts of chocolate is worth it, while politics isn't...in most cases anyway...I've made my mouth water...Ebly wrote:well that's pretty much why it's out-of-bounds on the forum
