There's no way to get "Ying," but you can cheat and get "Yinge" with Germanium.
"Sleet" is also impossible.

I like hybrid names of combining one element name with your name instead of trying to make an anacronym out of them for the very reason that the periodic table is not the alphabet. Though that's just a personal preference really.

I agree with you there.
Also, bonus points if spelling your name out is an actual chemically viable compound.

I like to make bad words out of elements. I can't provide an example for fear that the mere implication would be against forum rules.

Yep! Technically there is a "Xe" not a "X"Bino wrote:Yeah there is! Xe (xenon)Alex M. wrote:BO LiONSBox O Lions wrote:
Also... I wonder what periodic table name I'd be? hmm... any suggestions?
(Boron)(Oxygen)(Lithium)(Oxygen)(Nitrogen)(Sulphur)
There is no "x" in the Periodic Table :3
Mine's easy! BINO (Boron)(Iodine)(Nitrogen)(Oxygen)
Let's see:
BaCoN
(Barium)(Cobalt)(Nitrogen)

I was being silly. Also, that's probably censor evasion.

Some of the classes in our school have these little remote things with buttons A-F so that you can do multiple choice quizzes electronically, and I've been trying for years to exhaust this list of words I can spell with the buttons, but I always find more.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:I like to make bad words out of elements. So, I'm soon to be under a Sever Thunder Storm Warning. Nothing usual. Save for the fact that it was only around 47 degrees today.
And we haven't had a major warm front move through. Although, we are having a cold front moving through.
HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN.
Oh wait, its Missouri's Bi-Polar weather.

Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
Its not really as bad as it seems. Just some thunder, strong winds, its fairly commonplace here. Tornado Warnings, however are a different story.Vespier Leo wrote:That sounsd Very bad. I hope it passes soon Red.
But, this system isn't producing much, so I'm not worried. And I'm the one who's usually worried about the weather.

Speaking of tornadoes... we had a tornado drill at school not too long ago, and apparently, if there is a tornado in third period, they expect us to go duck and cover directly next to a hallway made of windows. >_<shadowhaz wrote:here its been really windy its a good thing we're surounded by moutains or we might have tornados XD

We had a tornado drill once in middle school, which was odd considering the number of tornadoes we get, which was odd.Coatl_Ruu wrote:Speaking of tornadoes... we had a tornado drill at school not too long ago, and apparently, if there is a tornado in third period, they expect us to go duck and cover directly next to a hallway made of windows. >_<
...then they came on the announcements and said somebody was on the roof and they could see the imaginary tornado. Great job teaching us to stay safe.

I went through an actual tornado in school once. It just bearly missed us.
Re: Chat Thread 25: Restoration
That sounds pretty... transparent, even for middle school. And I think the last tornado we had around was something like ten, fifteen years ago. It's a state thing. Like how we have to have a fire drill once a month. Because, as you know, we can't remember to exit a burning building.CaptainPea wrote: We had a tornado drill once in middle school, which was odd considering the number of tornadoes we get, which was odd.
