I have had those kinds of dreams, Sleet. They aren't pleasant at all.
G'night, Housedog.
And I still say Diss is Miles.

No, my friends in real life. We have the lineup, but haven't practiced yet.
I had an online band, and I even practiced the first song we were going to record, but that fell through. I also kind of lost the friends that were in it.

Alternative rock seems to be the plan.

Too bad about that Sleet.
Oh, okay. So what do you play? And are you the main force behind this band, or just a regular member?
Alternative rock, huh? Sounds fun.

I'm the drummer. I'll probably be a main force since I'm one of the more talented members, but I can't guarantee that.

Technically it is.

So you learned keyboard first?
And Yay! I was right for once!
And also, how would you describe skill? Advanced, intermediate, what?

Re: Chat Thread 26: Probably Fewer Than The Land Before Tim
Give me something to record and I'll consider it!
Except percussion. I have no way to record that.
I'd probably say advanced/advanced/upper beginner/beginner.

That's my proficiency order; I actually learned guitar before bass. But yes, piano first.copper wrote:So you learned keyboard first?

I could actually probably record that whole song minus the drums and vocals.

Re: Chat Thread 26: Probably Fewer Than The Land Before Tim
Ah, so no complex guitar music like mariachi.
So, how about a song from my memory, if I can find it? Something that I haven't heard in years, but captivated me as a child. If I could find it again, could you play that?

Re: Chat Thread 26: Probably Fewer Than The Land Before Tim
I'd rather record Black Sheep.
Actually I can do drums too if you'll accept semi-crappy synthesizer drums instead of real drums.

Possibly. What instrument is it for?copper wrote:Ah, so no complex guitar music like mariachi.

Re: Chat Thread 26: Probably Fewer Than The Land Before Tim
It is a piano piece, I believe, but it might have been on the harpsichord. I have never really heard the harpsichord before, so I can't rule it out.

I started the piano at 9 I think, and percussion at 11. The guitar I think was at 18, and the bass at 20.shadowhaz wrote:OK! X3 but hopefully I'll get a bass soon X3 oh and sleet when did you start age wise to play music?

Morning all, how is your day?
Ahhh, when I think that tomorrow I must go back on my lectures, I'm sick.

So yeah, another day, another doller.
I was wondering how many of you guys are off school still or not. Honestly, I have no idea how the system in USA works. I don't even know if you guys got any time off at all.

Well here in England we have 2 weeks off because of the royal wedding. Any of you watching it online?

Re: Chat Thread 26: Probably Fewer Than The Land Before Tim
Somewhat, but the only thing that matters is the service, and that hasn't happened yet.
Here in the US most schools start getting out in May. My last day is May 21, so i actually have 21 days left if you subtract out weekends.

Re: Chat Thread 26: Probably Fewer Than The Land Before Tim
Most southern US schools get out in May. This is because of the southern heat, and the price the counties have to pay for the extra electric to cool off the school buildings.Bino wrote:Somewhat, but the only thing that matters is the service, and that hasn't happened yet.

Northern states don't get out until mid-June.
My last day is... May 30th, I think?
