i watched the episode. there was something i didn't like about it, but i don't know what. i think its cos i watched it in low quality.

The only complaint I can come up with for it is that it felt a bit rushed, especially towards the end. A three-parter instead of a two-parter would have been absolutely epic. But hey, the team did the best with what Hasbro allowed them, and what they did was EPIC.

Er... anyway, I felt like the ending was a little bit rushed, maybe that's why I feel it needed something? But who cares? Overall, it was still good.

It wasn't rushed, Jason said the ending was cut extrmemly short due to a specific amount of frames per episode. He could have said some more stuff, but it was pretty noisy.

Up next at the con is a skype interview with Eurobeat pony. Its really been awesome so far...

Finally watched it. Thanks youtube users. Honestly, I'm somewhat disapointed. I thought it would be a little different. Discord's defeat only happened because of plot convenience. How couldn't he notice they get their powers back?
The star wars reference didn't save the episode for me. The only part I found interesting was twilight snapping at the other ponies and Spike's superffective tackle on Fluttershy.
This was a 'meh' episode. I hope the rest of the season will be a little better.

I felt the same way. a three parter would have worked a bit better.
and I noticed the star wars reference right away.

I do not. but I think Celestia is her father... err, mother. (yes, I know you were referring to the prequels, but that ending clearly proves that this season is based on the original trilogy)

i thought the episode was very funny, although rushed, could have been three parts, but whatever
my favourite comedic moments were with Flutterjerk, when Rarity called the rock Tom
i love the ending reference to Star Wars

my only problem was we knew what was going to happen to Discord and i am dissapointed
i was hoping for something different, perhaps total distruction (oh wait kids show, can't do that), or perhaps making him less powerful, so that he could eventually come back

i really think what saved this episode from being mediocre for me was the great comedy and complete randomness or Discord's Ponyville

you just know the ballerina buffalo and dog mac are going to be made into gifs very quickly

My heart hurt during that scene, and when it became obvious that Twilight Sparkle had begun to dislike the other ponies.

About Discord though, perhaps he will remain conscious in his statue form, and enlist the help of other characters to spread chaos and get him freed. Oooh, like Shendu from Jackie Chan Adventures!

I think it was implied that he is conscious in statue form. He seemed as though he experienced his entire time in stone, as opposed to it seeming as though no time had passed.

i thought that scene was hilarious

that would be awesome, plus you could have an excuse to bring back old villains like Gilda and Trixie

Let's also not forget: Luna and Celestia were playing cards while Discord was causing havoc in Ponyville. That's when Clestia started to make poor Spike sick. I wonder if she knew that sending so many letters would make the dragon feel ill. I hink it could be something interesting to be used later in the story. Like "I guess we're putting too much pressure on Spike" or something like it.

Just saw the two-part first episode of Season 2.

NOW I've seen the series, as it took this episode to remind me of who had which element.

Discord made the same dumb mistake most villains do which leads to their downfall--underestimating the enemy. Unless your enemy's DEAD--sometimes not even then--NEVER assume the game's over and you've won.

I hate my phone. I had a recording of everypony singing Winter Wrap Up, and some pictures not come out. Corrupt files, apparently. AUGH!

I can't wait till the next Con... Its gonna be SO AWESOME!

Edit: Remember the Jayson Thiessen Q&A I was telling you all about earlier? Here is a summery! The guy who wrote it did a great job summarizing it up. I hope the video comes out soon... I saw some dudes recording it. The media was all over the place with high end cameras and sound equipment!

I'm not mad at all. It's a legitimate question, especially considering previous MLP media. It would just be better to say, "I'm not sure I understand why you like it" than "ZOMG THE SHOW SUXXORZ".
