I love this comic since it's so pure. so sweet. so real-life-like and most of all, a everyday humoring comic whichever direction it goes. It's writing is extremely solid and has great depth, coupled with very engaging and very heart warming art.

Reading the Way-Back Flowers and Ovations thread made me think of times forgotten and long-gone comrades. Also Ebly and Sinder, but they don't count, do they?
With Emphatic Certainty, No.
Also, Rick, I think we'd all like to get a hold of something from your other settings. Hurry up and publish! You know, after you edit and whatever else is involved in getting published. *shrugs with incomprehension*

Thanks Rick for making such an amazing comic! I know I don't pop up here as much as I used to/should/would like to but I still check the comic every day, just in case there's an out of line update Housepets! is my homepage, my background, my favourite comic, favourite story, and has some of the best characters I've ever had the joy to follow.
P.S. So glad to see the ferrets back

Re: To Rick
Dear Rick,
Thank you for making a webcomic so unlike any other. One that brings to my mind simpler, more innocent times when I didn't have to worry about financial crises, terrorists, and other ills of the world. Thank you for always bringing a smile to my face no matter what time it is or what kind of mood I'm in.
And most importantly...thanks for the roo jokes!

Re: To Rick
It seems I didn't come in too late to add my thanks as well. I just started reading two days ago and have very much enjoyed reading my way through (though that wording is far too mild for how fast I tore through your comics, "devouring" somehow didn't sound right).
Thank you for the great art, the fun characters, and making me snort Diet Pepsi through my nose and onto my keyboard.
MOST of that is appreciated.

Re: To Rick
Rick,
You've created something magical in Housepets. I don't tend to identify with characters, be it on TV shows, movies, or whatever. In fact it's only really happened once before...(Digimon Tamers...yeah, I know...)...but after a few days of reading your comics, I can say that it's happened again, with King, no less. He's such a brilliant character, probably one of the best characters ever thought up. I really identify with him, living in a world that he finds odd, trying to get along but encountering massive hurdles...it reminds me of my early days of secondary school. And the prose you wrote touched my heart.
All of your characters are brilliant. They just seem so much like real people...you know what I mean...and I almost feel like, if I were to meet them, I would just know them, and know their personalities, and how they behave. I'm really going through a hard time at the moment. I've got exams soon (really important ones), and I'm just so bored. Housepets is helping me to get through that boredom in a big way.
I said that you'd created something magical. I really do think this. It has touched my heart, and warmed it, it has helped me through tough times, and it has, well...made me fall in love with a certain Welsh Corgi (not that kind of love...). Rick, for what it's worth, thank you for making and continuing to make Housepets. You're a gifted artist and writer, and I thank you so much for sharing your gift with us.
God bless.

Re: To Rick
Okay since I haven't stated this yet: Rick, your stories are unique and wonderful at the same time. Your characters show a range of emotion that is rare to find, making them easy to relate to. You have found a balance between drama and comedy without sacrificing story for a quick laugh or being to deep and depressing your audience. Not only that, but your story also has a depth to it that continues to constantly surprise me. You take what seems to be a straight forward plot, and add in plenty of twists and surprises with just the right amount of foreshadowing where it isn't to obvious, yet it doesn't come straight out of left field. You should be proud of what you done.
Oh and the arts also great, though I think any art that is better than mine is good (and boy do I stink).

And then God saw the havoc that humanity had wrought upon the earth, and he said unto them 'muffins and cookies kids, get off my lawn'

Re: To Rick
A toast to the guy who started this thread, Capitol Idea!
I love the depth of emotion expressed by the characters in this comic. I love how ungodly adorable it gets. I love the fresh artistic styling. I find it amazing how well this is written. Honestly, Rick must be using a pen name. He must be a famous novelist or something, this level of plot control and pacing is amazing. Every character is believable and can be connected with, it is very difficult to make a cast this large have completely unique personalities and to stick to their personalities as rigorously as Rick does. There are no cop-outs or non-sequiturs anywhere in the writing.
Did I say I love the adorable moments? Of which there are many.
I only follow a few webcomics, and this is number 1.
I like the forum community here, too. I like that it seems troll-repellent. This is the first time I've forumed in years, I usually despise forum communities.
