I mostly play classical piano, hard rock drums (with bleed into other types of rock and metal), jazz piano, synthesizer stuff, rock and jazz bass, and rock guitar (poorly).

I composed some bad music when I was younger. Mostly I just play other peoples' music or improvise solos and such.

I had to compose about 10 measures for Music theory during my senior year of high school
it was about as terrible as you'd expect.

On a different note I've become completely obsessed with Nirvanas In Utero album
best 6 bucks I ever spent.

My roommate was trying to get a band together with me and a couple other of his friends. Don't know what happened to that idea. Best of luck to you guys!

And yes, In Utero was a good album. I really like Heart Shaped box.

It has so many great underappreciated songs (Tourettes, pennyroyal tea, dumb)

I really need to find a copy of Bleach somewhere (yeah I know I could download it but physically owning CD'S holds a kind of mystique for me)

This is probably my favorite Nirvana song It feels like you're listening to someone having a mental breakdown in studio.

Well if I had to pick a sort of folksy acoustic soft sounding pretty voice that doesn't bother with using complex melodies to win me over to listen to for the rest of my life,

I remember hearing this somewhere! Love the drum into. Breed is another good song off Nevermind.

Aside from all the early 90's grunge. A decent MeloDeath Metal band from Ohio.
I love the lyrics.

I actually thought Breed was an Otep song for about a month before I realized it was a cover.

It's nice to listen to some tranquil DnB while imagining being on top of a building, watching as the cars pass by your eyes below, and the urban lights brighten up the night sky. It's also good for putting one to sleep, sometimes, too. |D

Or, maybe you're driving home from school, work, or downtown, and you're on the interstate. DnB relaxes the tensions on the highway as you drive back home.

That's a good album in general.

Though Moonchild is like 8 minutes longer than it needs to be.

I've been listening to alot of Hopsin and Tyler the Creator recently.
They remind me alot of Eminem back when he was angry and crazy and could actually rap.

Eminem sucked when he was really popular. Or did you mean later than that?

I actually like his first couple albums, the stuff he put out in the last couple years is just.....
bland
at the risk of sounding like a hipster he just got really boring and lost his edge.
(which will probably happen to Tyler and Hopsin but for now they both still have that crazy/angry/bitter edge eminem used to have)

I didn't even know he existed until seth's link! I actually kinda like some of his other stuff, it sounds like it would be awesome live, even if it's not stuff I'd be able to just sit down and listen to from my computer (just not the same).
I was going to make a joke but then I did.
