I think the only way to solve the king avatar overpopulation problem is to brainwash everyone with a king avatar on a regular basis, and reprogram them to obsess with a different random character from the comic.

I'd say I'm happy that Brent is adding to the number of King avatars currently in use, but I was totally planning on taking that panel as my avatar. I saw the comic, said "Oh, I hope Random or Seth didn't take that panel yet!", hopped over to the forum, and saw Brent.

Plus, with Brent's being nearly identical at a quick glance, there is great potential for confusion. And I am always in favor of that.
