I just eat at home before going to the movies.

I try to do this too, but I didn't get a chance to eat that day. Now that I look back it would have been better to starve.Dubiousity wrote:I just eat at home before going to the movies.

I buy food at the theater every time. It's my parents money, so it doesn't matter.
but I order a kids pack and my dad orders small and uses his rewards card to upgrade to medium. So it's not that expensive.
I spend about $9 and get a small popcorn, an Icee, and a packet of fruit snacks.

I have relatively healthy eating habits, not really a balanced diet but nothing that's particularly bad for me either.
I get alot of wierd looks for walking around various common areas of my dorm (computer lab, laundry room, study lounge, the convienience store downstairs, ect.) in my bare feet or socks. Am I wierd or is my dorm just uptight?
It's one of those little things that's been kicking around in the back of my head for a while.

I don't really watch movies. Last time I went to a theater was May of 2005.

One of my friends back at my old college has been walking around barefoot (anywhere he's allowed to; basically everywhere but in the caf and classrooms) pretty consistently for the last 2 semesters. He also has a really awesome beard and always wears a backpack, so I always think of him as a sort of hybrid between a hobbit and a dwarf. He doesn't object to this.Seth wrote:I get alot of wierd looks for walking around various common areas of my dorm (computer lab, laundry room, study lounge, the convienience store downstairs, ect.) in my bare feet or socks. But then again, this is also the guy who went half of last fall semester sleeping for two hours a day and still managing to be more refreshed and energetic than the rest of us.

Pretty much.
He's constantly digging up the most obscure and nerdy things possible, and I'm quite envious. Haha.

There's nothing weird about that. Mostly everyone I know I rarely see wearing shoes anywhere. You're also in a dorm.

Did anyone read the book series Wereworld?
I've only read the first book of the series so far and it's quite interesting.

So I'm totally writing a compare/contrast essay for Composition about the controversy over The Lion King and Kimba the White Lion.

Re: Chat Thread 36: Get Off My Lawn!
ugh there's not even similar.
it's based on hamlet.
what how are you even going to
you'd basically have to shoehorn in any kimba copying you wanted to do.
there was like one or two shots I recall that were similar. I don't even think it's anything to get worked up over but at the very least it's DEFINITELY not unethical or in bad form, like some people seem to propagate.

Re: Chat Thread 36: Get Off My Lawn!
I know that. I'm arguing for the side that any similarities are purely coincidental, and that it's far more similar to things like Hamlet and the story of Moses from the Bible.
I just thought it would be fun, because I know this thing has been circulating around the internet for as long as I can remember, and I've always thought it was a load of hogwash. So I thought it'd make for a fun paper. :3

I think they drew inspiration from it and didn't try to just blatantly copy it.

I think GlaDos used eyedrop before she was a computer. Infact to that Cave johnson gave her tons of work and forced to change her into computer.(I think I messed up with storyline)
