and we've discussed that they have things in common, but not every brony is a furry, because brony has a much more specific definition. If you like the show and enjoy some of the fan created stuff, you're a brony.
If you like furry shows and web comics, it doesn't automatically make you a furry, just a fan of that specific piece.

People are saying it's fake because it'sd from wikipedia. It would be interesting though if they confirm it somewhere else.

and casting him would pretty much have to be at least a bit of shout-out to us. I don't think he's popular with the target audience, and it's not like he has daughters to say "daddy's on our favorite show," only sons to say "daddy's on our favorite show."

A late coming prediction for the royal wedding, well, more like wishful thinking and fantasizing, that it would be great if Discord returned to try and use the wedding to strike at the ponies while they are vulnerable.

Twilight: Ponyville just showed you that it's full of ponies ready to believe in good.

Discord: Until their spirit breaks completely. Until they get a good look at the real Shining Armor, and all the heroic things he's done. You didn't think I'd risk losing the battle for Equestria's soul in a magic fight with you? No. You need an ace in the hole. Mine's Shining.

Do something along the lines of the season debuts, but longer. And make sure they stay funny and interesting. And not just plot-y.

Bring back Tirek and the Rainbow of Darkness. Make the mane 6 go on a big quest to save some friends, meeting new ones along the way. Maybe a musical number or two.

As the Finale I would basically go all out make it some massive grand adventure involving some of the Old G1-G3 villains (like one or two of the better ones as mains and some lesser ones as high level henchmen or something) and give as many shout outs to fans both FIM and the Old Ponies as I possibly can stuff in there. The plot would also involve humans some how, like the villains threaten our world as well, or something like that. (Basically my philosophy on doing a Finale is go all out and make it as epic as possible)

also g3 had no villains
their problems were so frivolous, and lacking any tension or suspense, that i am really surprised that show has fans

no offense to g3 fans

in my opinion i think tirek should destroy the elements of harmony permanently
then the ponies have to find a way to defeat him using their own wit and abilities

also, maybe this is a stretch
but they make a deal with discord, to offer his freedom, in exchange for his help

ah I was unaware of that, I've only watched a bit of G1 here and there (Though Ive been meaning to give it and G2 a try soon)

Stuff like this really, really turns me off to MLP fanfics that somehow feel the need, the burning need to take My little Pony and try and pour in a huge dose of Game of Thrones. It doesn't work, it never works and it looks silly, as do the people who take it as some 'great' written work when shoehorning grim and gritty into a largely care free world is not the sign of good writing.

But godforbid that you mention that on EQDaily.

I actually never read MLP fan fics, because many of them aren't true to the spirit of the show. I do however watch Rainbow Dash presents: (insert fan fic here) because it makes fun of them.

People have different tastes for fanfics. Somne like light hearted ones others like dark ones. I'm not interested in this fic, because I never really cared about nightmare moon anyway.

One fic, I think, managed to add grittiness and seriousness to MLP and make it work: "It's a Dangerous Business, Going Out Your Door". For me at least, everything in it just works, from the separate nation of earth ponies who are wary of magic but still reasonable, to the elf-like deer, to how the characters develop as their quest unfolds. I mean, really. They stick to their show personalities, they never wallow in angst or become dark and brooding, and they succeed through the strength of their friendships as much as through any skills they might've picked up on the way. If anyone here hasn't read it yet and is interested in fan fiction, I suggest reading it.

Some people like those things combined. Have you seen the art, comics, crossovers, stories, and everything else. I like the stories where people acknowledge that death actually exists. I pretty much avoid any Phoenix Wright crossover where nopony dies becuase it's missing half the dang point MURDER TRIALS. But that's just me.
