Well KJOokami, I just listened to you video, and it sounded good to me.

I loved the bloopers at the end though. I can't wait until you come out with the next one.

Thanks guys! I think I was probably trying a little too hard to get that gruff, "rocker" type sound at parts, but overall I'm happy with how it turned out.

Hahaha. I was hoping someone would enjoy those. Stuff like that always happens when I'm recording stuff, but it never really occurred to me that I could save them instead of deleting them on the spot. But after that "Appiejack" mishap, I just started cracking up at myself and figured some other people might be able to get a laugh out of it too.

Glad you all enjoyed! :D

So apparently one of those sensationalist TV shows is looking for MLP collectors to showcase and make look bad on public television. It's pretty much the exact same thing furries go through. I hate freak show TV...

Ugh. Lame.

Hopefully, whoever they try to get will have the good sense to tell them to take a hike. -__-

Sadly the post on EQD only caused it to get it more attention, and you just know there is one strange person bound to just love some attention on national T.V.
I sure hope that person does know what he's getting into.

I feel like somebody's going to try to be clever and one up them but that it'll just end up a mess because the producers are the ones with the film

I could only see it working if they interviewed a fan who's famous among normal people, or at least people that aren't internetty

Johhhhhhhhn! Hurry up with that documentary! D:

Also, I came across that 'Children of the Night' animatic earlier tonight and thought it was pretty brilliant. Very nice blend of peace and tranquility and darker, more eerie undertones. One thing that both fascinated and slightly terrified me were the frames near the end of the filly's empty beds with flashes of them laying on the ground outside on a low opacity; am I the only one who thought, "... oh my god! Did she drop them??" O___o

Also also, I enjoyed reading your brain scribbles about Fluttershy, Pea. It's those little quirks that really make Fluttershy (and all of the mane cast, in my opinion) stand out as a character.

How did Rainbow Dash do that with no claws?

I have to say I agree with Pea's analysis of Fluttershy. Part of what makes MLP great is the cast isn't just "smart pony," "Southern pony," "athletic pony," "shy pony," "fabulous pony," and "funny pony." The subtle weirdness is part of what makes Fluttershy so endearing.

I feel that it lacked energy that the original had. It really felt like Rarity's singing part should have been a solo the entire time. That, and it was too slow. I know this was a concert band, but they needed to put a little bit of marching band into it.

That being said, it was still neat seeing that a band did that. It could be that being in a marching band that actually does an exciting halftime show and plays exciting music in the stands has made me think that's how all music done by a band like this should sound, but still.

Ah, my inner band geek coming out.

I think you might be being a leeetle bit hard on them. As Kyderra said, you really have to take their age into account. It's a middle school band, not a college (or even high school) band. I think they did about as well as you could expect them to. :)

Plus, I can't imagine anything from the show being easy to play unless you're pretty well-seasoned with your instrument, which would be unusual at that age.

Yea, I see what you are saying. But still, I can't help but feel that the director could have done a little more. I know that the kids were all relatively inexperienced, but it still lacked energy that they should have had. Oh well, I'm going to stop with this now, because I'm almost never satisfied when it comes to bands playing songs like this (Even my own band).

That's not the best mix really. It's basically just playing two songs at the same time!

Try this instead. It's just the Alex S. remix. No Skrillex.

Oh, I know it was just a mashup, but I personally like it better than either of the original songs. :) Better than Skrillex's because I just don't think most of his stuff is very good at all, and better than Alex's because a lot of the song just felt a little empty at points. Skrillex's noise did well to fill in those gaps (for me anyway).

And thanks for the list, Kyderra. Now I've got another couple hours of music to sift through. Haha.

Well, I'll revise my statement to "I'll never have faith in the EqD pre-readers again". I tried submitting my latest fic to them after revisions they suggested the first time, and I was again rejected. This time they mostly pointed out "flaws" in structure that you'll see plenty of big-time authors make, such as Stephen King and Neil Gaiman.

Also, they misinterpreted the main character's introduction scene, thinking a minor character was in awe of the main character when it's incredibly clear that he feels nothing but disdain for her at the end. Seriously, I write about how this minor character sneers at her, tosses her around with gusts of wind, and calls her blank flank, but apparently that's treating her with awe.

How can I possibly trust their judgment after this?

Ditto. I typically don't read fanfics.

Penwrite, EQDaily's prereaders are very demanding because they have a crapton of people showering them with fanfics who want the attention that a EQDaily listing would bring. And I must say, just because big name writer does it, doesn't mean you can. It's just that they answer to a whole other group of people for their writing flaws, as you are the one submitting to EQDaily, you have to answer to them.

There's countless other places on the internet that you could list your fanfic too, you know.

Maybe, but it just doesn't make sense. I had no trouble getting my first fan fic on there, but this one, which everyone else I've shown it to says is better, isn't being allowed. Also, that still doesn't answer the problem about them misinterpreting that one scene.

And I know there's other places I can submit my stuff. Heck, I put my stuff on DA first, then send those links to EqD. But Equestria Daily is THE site for MLP. Not having my stories on there would be like having an account on every social site EXCEPT facebook. And I've gotten everything else I've written onto there so far, it sucks not getting this one there.

Eh, whatever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqlpHa0p ... plpp_video

Yeah, I think this is probably my least favorite so far. I'm of the opinion that any humor pretty well goes out the door once certain... bodily functions are substituted for actual jokes. Which is why I have such a love-hate relationship with South Park.

It still had its moments. But overall, definitely not as good as the others (for me).

I think Dress.MOV was the worst. This has a lot of unnecessary parts, but there were still plenty of good jokes in it. Dress.MOV was kind of short on jokes.

I think I originally enjoyed it purely for the fact it was making fun of Rarity.
