The creator of "Sequential Art" has a new webcomic series. "Battle Bunnies".

If you are a fan of "Sequential Art" then you will surely like this too. For those unfamiliar, here is a link to the first page.

For me, it would have to be Slightly Damned.
I used to like Doc Rat (even though some of the Australian humor flew over my head), until it stopped being funny and became too obsessed with entirely non-funny dramatic storylines.

I finally started Homestuck, you guys. Why didn't I start reading this in 2010 when I was first introduced to it? Now I have this whole archive to read.
... Oh right, I still had dial-up and hadn't developed a sense of internet humor yet.
I'm only at 7/26/09, so don't ruin it for me or I might just punch you guys.

Because he looks at a webcomic, finds a minor error, and completely blows it out of proportion by siting it like it's a crippling blow to the comic and, therefore, makes the comic unreadable

Re: Favorite Webcomic/Comic Series/Graphic novel
I'm about to start 02/19/10, but that's enough Homestuck for one day. I'm going to take my history quiz and run some errands before work.
And I completely skipped the intermission after Act 3. I know you're supposed to read the intermissions, but... just no. I'll backtrack if I need to.
@TinFoil- I couldn't have said it better myself. I read BadWebComicsWiki just for the awfulness of it.

But that intermission is funny! And also actually important.
It's a little tedious but you should read it.

Re: Favorite Webcomic/Comic Series/Graphic novel
I'm just a little ways into Act 5, specifically 06/14/10. I just met Karkat.
Thank God for those recaps. I read the first one, and it finally "made sense." I've heard that sometimes it takes a little while to "get" or understand the plot to Homestuck. I got a little confused somewhere before the end of the first year, but I'm good now.

At the very least before the second half of Act 5. That's when it becomes important.
Also, Act 5 is a little tedious at first 'cause you're like "oh man now I gotta deal with these cussholes" but they grow on you once you get used to their typing. Trust me on that.

actually I can't judge how good the recap is on filling you in on what you've missed. I actually skipped those :3Beagle wrote:Their typing makes me want to punch a hole in my screen. It's just awful.Sleet wrote:At the very least before the second half of Act 5. That's when it becomes important.

and that's the point. Hussie likes to make his readers want to punch him in his giant lips. But you get used to it. I can read most of their quirks with little to no difficulty now.
Re: Favorite Webcomic/Comic Series/Graphic novel
I started reading a Red Tail's Dream the other day and I gotta say it looks AMAZING!
The comic author/writer also said in one of her posts that her current comic was just practice for an even larger more detailed one.
I don't know how she could possibly do that but hopefully in the near future we'll be able see her new stuff too.

Oh hey, I've read that. The art and plot is so good. The only thing that bothered me in the beginning was Hannu's early attitude and how everyone was so condescending. Character development definitely got better, though!Duster wrote:I started reading a Red Tail's Dream the other day and I gotta say it looks AMAZING!

They're not all awful. Some are actually decently readable. My favorite is the Leo troll. The typing quirk is just adorable! :33Beagle wrote:Their typing makes me want to punch a hole in my screen. It's just awful.

Solomon is a SA goon, actually, and made his own blog called Your Webcomic Is Bad And You Should Feel Bad. After he got enough of it he closed it down. The BWW subsequently archived it on their site, but Solomon understandably got angry that his actually competent, funny writing became associated with their beef consumme-poor imitation. Cue Internet drama.TinFoilHats wrote:Yeah, apparently, John Solomon was thinking about putting Homestuck on the BadWebComicsWiki(which I despise, by the by).

Knowing Andrew Hussie, he'll do what he's done with Act 6 (because, you know, ACT 6 ACT 5 ACT 1, as an example) and delay the end of Act 7 for as long as possible.Sleet wrote:Not for long.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:and getting longerBeagle wrote:Jeez Homestuck is long.

My favorites are Karkat, Tarvos, Kanaya, and Gamzee.
The only trolls I don't like are Terezi and Vriska.
I still have yet to "meet" the sea trolls.

Re: Favorite Webcomic/Comic Series/Graphic novel
Terezi gets a lot deeper. Originally she was just "the other one" and was hard to read when she typed. Now she's one of my favorites. She develops a lot as a person.
Vriska is an interesting one. I really like her as a character, but a lot of people hate her just because she isn't a good person. Your ability to enjoy Vriska depends on whether or not you can like a character who does a lot of bad stuff.

I'm at 12/24/10! I'm finally just a tiny little bit over half the archive!
Terezi has grown on me, and Vriska could be good if she wasn't such a jerk. Jeez. I like all the trolls now, except for Vriska's bad qualities.

Re: Favorite Webcomic/Comic Series/Graphic novel
AS of now, seems my list of comics are now:
Housepetscomic (duh!)
Dr.Mcninja
Faux Pas (though I don't read it everyday now, just whenever i feel like it)
Lackadaisy (when it does update!)
Slightly Damned
I use to read Bittersweetcandybowl and TwoKinds, but after reading a few chapters, i realized they wern't my taste. They had a few things that drew my attention, but they seem to be drawn-out fanservice comics in my opinion, which Housepets is certainly not.

Re: Favorite Webcomic/Comic Series/Graphic novel
I just love Vriska because of her complex morality. The bottom line is that she's a bad person, but I like what goes into that. She doesn't delight in doing evil, she's just self-centered. She wants to make a big mark on the world(s). Whether she's fighting for good or doing random acts of evil. She really wants to be the most important character in Homestuck, and she's kind of a sociopath because of it.Beagle wrote:I'm at 12/24/10! I'm finally just a tiny little bit over half the archive!

11/12/11, Act 6, you guys!!
And I finally like Vriska. XD She's starting to be a good person, and I think it's because of her crush on John.
Also, the whole thing of Karkat shooshing Gamzee to bring him out of his rampage had me in hysterics. I was staring at my computer, saying out loud, "What is this?! "

My new favorite comic:
Well, one of them I discovered this comic at the biginning of the new year and it is AWESOME!
I mean, just look at all this AWESOME!
Every comic is based off of real life situations experienced by the two main characters/authors, plus, every comic is like three jokes in one if you read the strip, then the alt text, AND the description at the bottom
Go check it out people!
