Huh. Never would've thought the policedogs were into gambling.
Though I guess in fairness slots are pretty light in comparison to most things.

They just wanted a slot machine, oh well they can always come back tomorrow or they can arrange a deal about getting all of the good stuff for free and they won't arrest him.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, massive DERP moment by me. Leave it to this sheltered otter to not know that a "one-armed bandit" is a nickname for a slot machine...
*facedesk
And to have taken another twenty minutes or so to realize the pun in the title. Man, am I failing today!
---
But to Rick's comment, we're gonna need some ice. That's a burn. X3

It's like a normal newspaper comic in that sense- stock up all of the arc at once and leak them out over time. in any other business that's illegal |Drickgriffin wrote:Not to hurt your ego, but I wrote and drew all of these strips before the arc ever started

They should just take the slot machine. That's what Jack did after all.
Oh yeah, almost forgot...
BUSTED!!!!
Looking forward to seeing how Jack and the Milton Ferrets worm their way out of this one.
Although, if Sergeant Ralph and Kevin DO come back later anything they do find will probably turn out to be arm -sorry- harmless fun and games.

Hehehe... he...he.......
I'll be good.
By the way, I bet Kevin wanted the slot (sloth?) machine to find an excuse to yell "JACKPOT!" (Jack-pot? Hehe, told you I'm on fire here.) all the time.

Ha!
I wondered when that was going to show up in the strip:

I suppose there's a dog treat stuck in the slot...

If Karishad turned up to buy something, who would give the 'negotiations' up first, him or Jack?

Looks like one of those small nicknack slot machines that doubles up as a coin bank. Hehe.furryfox wrote:I thought of that too. Where did 4FD get a slot machine? Did he manage to get it out of a casino?Zaitsev wrote:I'm gonna make the expected exclamation point Metal Gear comment.

Don't all coin-operated slot machines double as coin banks?Greigh wrote:Looks like one of those small nicknack slot machines that doubles up as a coin bank. Hehe.furryfox wrote:I thought of that too. By the way, have to love Ralph. Door lands on his foot, and he can walk it off before the third panel.
Dag nabbed petty annoyances...
Re: 2013/04/08 - Police Bidness
Who said it landed on his foot? He could've just been startled by it getting slammed down that quick. I would think Rick would've added some sort of symbolism for that if it did indeed happen.
Re: 2013/04/08 - Police Bidness
I want to meet this craig.... and I wonder how many people actually saw the ad, and how wolves who have never been in society know how to use computers....
That would be one heck of a coin bank. I mean, if Jack stole it, he wouldn't have the key to open it, now would he?
I think the police are opening a charity casino night fundraiser and want the slot machine for that.... yep, makes total sense.

Re: 2013/04/08 - Police Bidness
In many businesses, if you stockpile inventory and only release significantly less than the demand in an attempt to keep prices up, then that is called "price fixing" and you can face your local government trade agency's wrath over that. Technically since comics are free to view and revenue is gained in other ways, they can't be "price fixed" because they had no price to start with.TarkaTarquol wrote:Is it really illegal to have a buffer?Mickey the Luxray wrote:It's like a normal newspaper comic in that sense- stock up all of the arc at once and leak them out over time. in any other business that's illegal |D

It's generally only illegal if you have a monopoly position on the commodity, or are colluding with other producers who together have a monopoly, and you're not deBeers.Mickey the Luxray wrote:In many businesses, if you stockpile inventory and only release significantly less than the demand in an attempt to keep prices up, then that is called "price fixing" and you can face your local government trade agency's wrath over that.
