Re: Homestuck
A hiatus? I guess now really is the best time to star- 6 sub-acts in Act 6? Oh boy.

I really hope someone makes an anime version of Homestuck during this huge hiatus.
Let me tell you about Homestuck.

A lot of people are curious about Homestuck but are intimidated by its constantly-updating nature. Now is a great time to get started because I can almost guarantee you can finish it before the hiatus is over.RootsofOrigin wrote:Get behind what?

Re: Homestuck
That's one of the best things that Hussie does. Unless you're talking about the 7000 pages one has to work through. The only problem for me was as soon as I got hooked, I knew I couldn't stop until I finished. Which can be a major issue when you have work to do.Sleet wrote:A lot of people are curious about Homestuck but are intimidated by its constantly-updating nature. Well my face is red I probably blanked out on that detail.Beagle wrote:This is the exact same picture that I posted earlier.

I'm the very same way. It's a good thing I got into Homestuck when my community college classes were winding down halfway through the semester. Horray for online college classes and AP exams!RootsofOrigin wrote:I knew I couldn't stop until I finished. Which can be a major issue when you have work to do.

I actually got so hooked I'd read during movies in psychology class sometime. I wouldn't recommend that.

this helmet was fairly expensive to make and I need it to last at least a few conventions.

Wow. One flash. So much happens
And the music at the end there had a really nice Age of Empires vibe. So much nostalgia.

Re: Homestuck
Now that this has started updating again I remember exactly how much I both love and hate this series. There are a lot, and I mean a lot, of really cool things in here which I love. However this series is seriously overly complicated in some parts. About the time that he introduced the past players (or whatever those second set of trolls playing the game were) this series really started to lose me. Homestuck is really freaking good, don't get me wrong, but you can't deny that some parts of it get a tad overly complex.

Re: Homestuck
The dancestors are mostly pretty irrelevant to the plot, so I don't mind them. They don't complicate much.

Re: Homestuck
so, figured I'd revive this thread one last time (well, we can still revive it for the possible epilogue and for the game whenever that happens)
so, what are your thought on the end? was it everything you ever hoped it would be? are there loose ends you're upset about?
I'm upset that it's not so clear what happened to Lord English. did he just die because the game's over? is he still out there? hopefully Hussie at least explains that somewhere.

Re: Homestuck
I need to reread the whole thing again at some point to make sure I've got everything, but I really liked the end. Still, as you said, Brent, it would have been nice to get some clarity on what happened to Lord English.

Re: Homestuck
I liked the ending, but wish we got more of it. The very last push lacked a bit of the dialogue that made Homestuck great, and the animations, while great, didn't explain enough. Heck, we didn't even get to see Lord English defeated on-screen.
I need to reread the whole thing now that it's completed.

Re: Homestuck
Has anyone played it? I've been enjoying it so far! It's kinda weird seeing how '90s everything is. I'm trying to figure out how it fits into the Homestuck mythos in general, too.
