Gratuitous Praise for Rick Griffin!
So, here is a place for the fans of Housepets! to praise and give compliments to its creator, Rick Griffin.
No critiques. No suggestions. Just endless feel-good statements of admiration, commendation, approval, applause, etc. We'll stop just short of outright worship and above just saying "good job".
I'd just like to say that Rick has done a great job with the comic. I'm amazed at how well he's able to plan, render, and post well-drawn, well-written strips for us three days a week. Great job, Rick!

Rick, my man, you through some surprizing curveballs. Great job.
Re: Gratuitous Praise for Rick Griffin!
What makes a comic a GOOD comic?
When it stops being 'lines on paper' and it draws the reader in a world, when suspension in disbelief is complete and all you want is to stay there and see more of that world. When the pause between updates leaves you speculating. When every emotion in the spectrum fills your soul. When the characters are not fixed carboard-cut figures, but evolve while staying true to themselves. When its author is not afraid of experimenting with graphics and always keeping up a great job. And when his work can inspire others to translate it.
So thank you Rick, for all the great job, the reflection of a great mind and a generous soul. And for putting up with us for so long.
Here's a toast for many more years of Housepets! awesomeness

What else can I say? Rick Griffin has provided the world with one of the most riveting eloquent stories. The twists and turns and imaginative characters... I prefer reading these every other morning over the funnies in the newspapers.

I absolutely love reading the next comics every night before I go to bed. I love this comic and Rick inspired me to even make my own characters and now story! Thanks Rick for all that you do!

Rick you and your work are so great, and also I owe a lot of the great things and people in my life to making the decision when I met you to try to be your friend. :3

If I had one wish in my life, it would be to either have the comic update everyday or watch it on TV for half an hour everyday. X3
Rick, your comic is a simple, charming and a lovely comic of infinite possibilities to impress people. History has taught us that anything that's heartwarming to watch and have a lot of deep plot and wanting us to care for your characters far more than other shows/comics as time goes on is truly what makes your comic special. This comic will always be number one for me and I can't wait to see where this comic ends up in the end through thick and thin.

This comic was the first furry comic I read I think that was about 2 years ago but when I first started reading it instantly fell I'm love with the characters. Until I woke up and fell asleep I was reading this comic trying to catch up to the most recent then when I was caught up I made an account :3

Re: Gratuitous Praise for Rick Griffin!
Rick, you are more than awesome. This comic is definitely my favorite, and I have no idea how you come up with all of these brilliant story arcs! I stay up all night waiting for the next strip, and I hope this comic never ends! I love every bit of it and I wish everyone could see this comic because I'm sure anyone in their right mind (even though I'm not!) would love this!
I thought about changing my signature but decided against it, it's too much work!
Re: Gratuitous Praise for Rick Griffin!
Thank you, Mr. Furret, for the wonderful comic you have given us. I, for one, will always cherish the friendships I've made, acquaintances I have met, and laughs I have made from reading it.

Just keep up the great work with this and your other projects, Sir. Rick! Such creative skills in drawing and story telling deserves particular attention.

I especially like the latest arcs myself. However I do believe that they need more Kevin. Make it so Rick, and I will love you even more than I already do!
Re: Gratuitous Praise for Rick Griffin!
Reading this thread, thinking about what would be a nice thing to say to a pretty awesome artist/storyteller, I my mind wandered to the Stormhawks cartoon, I watched it while it aired on YTV. It think it in part because it is in some many ways an opposite of Housepets. The Stormhawks world is immense and fantastical, while Housepets is mostly relegated to Babylon Gardens, but the most striking difference to me is the plot; the Stormhawks as I remember live episode to episode with characters that were more caricatures more than anything else. While arcs in the Housepets universe have considerably more continuity and it's characters more like fleshed out and three dimensional. Though Stormhawks initially caught me with it's eye catching visuals, all the animation studios in the world wouldn't do much compared to such a rich and complex world like Housepets. Keep it going Rick Griffin, u da man.

Re: Gratuitous Praise for Rick Griffin!
Rick's commitment and attention to characters and their continuing appereance three times a week for over six years straight almost non-stop makes this comic, as well as the author, stand tall above most others.
