I don't know if I'm in a situation like this -big angry cat coming toward us- my reaction would be like Peanut's or Max's

I'm pretty sure Sabrina is going to fall in love. Sabercat looks a lot like someone else we know .

She's just checking they're out of range
and not phone obsessed in any way;
Max has his anger tuned to the strange
as Sabre-tooth Jata makes Peanut's day/
Where has little Tarot gone wrong?
Why have they been brought to this now?
What happened to make this chap come along?
When will they be saved and just how?
The ancient world, it seems, is full of dangers
to those who know the world and the strangers.
Satau must lead them to where they meet a god;
it's gotta be Kitsune. He's used to the odd...

Important question: Can that sabercat speak?

yes we can assume so. It remains to be seen if Sabrina can cast yet another mutual understanding spell or not.PuddleFoot wrote:Important question: Can that sabercat speak?

So since it's bipedal, is it not a wild animal?

Oh max...you just had to go and open your big mouth
Re: 2015/09/02 - KITTY
IF you're referring to the speaking factor, being a feral doesn't imply he/she can't talk. It only means that there might be a slight language barrier problem.Sleet wrote:So since it's bipedal, is it not a wild animal?
Re: 2015/09/02 - KITTY
Peanut, I like you.
...No Fred Sanford today, he's adorable here. But why is Sabrina even bothering with the phone? Unless mystical, time-and-space phone service is a thing and she's checking for it.

You can just feel the sarcasm dripping from Max's mouth in the second panel.

Re: 2015/09/02 - KITTY
Figures Peanut is the one applauding the arrival of a huge dangerious feline while all the other cats are worried.
Re: 2015/09/02 - KITTY
With how Peanut reacted in Panel 3 and 4 you should suspect that he wanted an adventure and thus somehow corrupted the spell to be sent back as well.

Re: 2015/09/02 - KITTY
Uh... Is that Sabertooth cat female?
Also, Peanut's Reaction.
Max better watch what he says next time...
Still, what's the betting that's Satatu's mate/Future Mate?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the comic doesn't care about accuracies. Lots of fiction don't care about accuracy, and who knows? Maybe the Housepets! world developed differently.

Peanut's reaction is priceless! This is all just getting better and better.
There's no place like home...except the Housepets home page.

That, and smilodons are presumably just as sentient as everything else and thus could have resisted the factors that killed them off on our Earth for a longer time. Or, you know, it's not like they have an exact date. Or maybe it's that world's equivalent of a bigfoot.SuperStar wrote:Yeah, I'm pretty sure the comic doesn't care about accuracies. I wonder if this is Dragon's first avatar.
King looks an awful lot like my own Corgi. That's one reason why he's my favorite, but I also like his attitude.

The good old "check your phone signal in strange new land" cliche. :3
Sabertooth! Yes! ... With a big club. I can just imagine Grape's ancient ancestor already in this one.
I hope we see some sabertooth fighting action. That face design is pretty sweet.

I Would Sell My Sole...
Neolithic Era, you say?
When I was young and poor and made my living walking, I would frequently need the heels or soles of my boots replaced -- much less spendy than a new pair. There was always the question of brand and material. The wise cobbler recommended against the Neolite neoprene, "Too slippery in the wet," he said. Only natural rubber would do, he told me. His brand of choice?
