Wait till they realize that it was real.
Also, can I just say Joey's face in panel two is adorable?

You have to admit Lester does make an excellent point there.

wonder if Res told them what he writes... you know I'm actually still unclear if he reads the series or if he was just at that release party to hang around cats.

I still want to hug Dallas.
Lester, not so much.
The wondrous logic of the geeks
is that what’s explainable is real.
Lies are the powers of ancient Greeks
but future tech’s a different deal.
Barklay Dallas had the real power,
the others were just fantasy tech.
Never mind that the Healers work;
next time they'll ust take a mech.
The sweet Canuck is headed North
to finish his tales of epic Cats.
What will the striped Shakespeare write?
A tale of heroes, gods and Brats...

I think he reads the books. It has been shown that despite being marketed towards cats, Pridelands has a significant dog following.RandomGeekNamedBrent wrote:wonder if Res told them what he writes... you know I'm actually still unclear if he reads the series or if he was just at that release party to hang around cats.

I'm not totally sure that includes Lester, the arrogant hyper-nerd.Champion Wallace wrote:I think he reads the books. Pronouns! Causing confusion since the birth of sitcoms (or something). I assumed Brent was referring specifically to Joey because of his appearance in http://www.housepetscomic.com/comic/200 ... -unsee-it/. I would agree Pridelands is outside of Lester's genre preference.Welsh Halfwit wrote:I'm not totally sure that includes Lester, the arrogant hyper-nerd.Champion Wallace wrote:I think he reads the books. um... oops. In my brain I'd said Joey at some point in my sentence. I was talking about him and that comic.Champion Wallace wrote:Pronouns! Clearly, secret future technology is way more possible and not clearly just as insane as magic being real

I have the sudden urge to break down Lester's options into their logical parts to see if they are mutually exclusive... but I guess that would be nerd-sniping myself

And then Res is like "I gotta make sure I don't make my fans turn into Lester"
Even if Lester does brings up a good point. =P

Per the norm I don't quite get the alttext but I'm guessing it's that Lester's reasoning sounds like something that Tyson Bison would say? Yeah that sounds about right, problem solved
Also Rick's signature seems kinda apropos somehow
EDIT huh I guess it's from yu-gi-oh second problem solved

The delusional have no illusions, eh, Lester? ....and Dallas and Joey do look particularly innocent and beguiling.
...and let me echo Render, Rick, thanks for sweet, fascinating, thought-provoking story. A lot of fun!

Re: 2018/04/30 - Stranger Than Fiction
It's nice that the nerd dogs want to invite a cat in their group to play games. But yeah, Res lives in Canada and has his writer job to do. But, why isn't he telling them? Everyone has their inspiration. Those examples are extreme, Lester, it's hard to say. Actually, something of what happened in the temple was fake...

Re: 2018/04/30 - Stranger Than Fiction
That panel is from Secret Weapon from the start of Heaven's Not Enough, part 3. I think the lack of (k) is intentional because (from what I've found on the internet) magick is a specific type of magic separate from normal uses of the word and when Tarot says magic(k) she's saying "either magic or magick, we're not sure which". Lester doesn't know what the celestials are capable of so his only frame of reference is the fantasy stuff he's into, which doesn't ever have magic spelled with a k (at least in the fantasy stuff I've seen).Macsen wrote:When was this?tsMKG wrote:Hey, Lester it's not the first one to think of Keene like thatNHWestoN wrote:The delusional have no illusions, eh, Lester?
