Re: Art Thread
I made some OC's, originally I was toying with the idea of joining one of the RPGs, but I don't really know how to jump into that, then I had a couple of other ideas that didn't really go anywhere. But I was talking to my sister about them and she got inspired and drew one. (She said she'd like to do the others too, but she has a lot going on right now, I'll post them if/when I get them.) So the art is by WolvzQu33n.
So this is Ringo,
He is an english pointer, he's laid back, friendly, easygoing, and is super into music, specifically Rock & Roll. (Yes, he's a drummer )
BTW I was rather vague with my physical description, so credit goes to Wolvz for the details. I said modern rock and she went grunge, which I think worked out pretty well.

Check out Lightning Dogs on the Nerdyshow Podcast Network
It's an in-development animated series following a team of Anthro-Dogs trapped in the Wastelands of a ruined Earth.

Re: Art Thread
That looks rather nice.
Most important thing I've learned from D&D?
No matter how tempting it may be, as a DM I can't both present a problem and solve it.
Every time a DMPC or NPC fixes something a payer couldn't i'm diminishing and undermining that player's contribution.

Re: Art Thread
Looks really lovely and nicely drawn! She did a good job on it!
Re: Art Thread
I'd say that they came out good.
Re: Art Thread
Very well done … charming guy.
Re: Art Thread
New celestial. Don't have a name for him yet.
He originally started as a jackelope, but I ended up changing details as the sketch went on, like changing the antlers for horns. Also easier to draw. And there is a species called "water deer" that have elongated fangs, so there's justification to that.
Started thinking that he would actually be a somewhat introverted guy who was pushed into finding a girlfriend by some buddies. They give no direction, just tell him to have at it.
First/last one he tries to flirt with is Mirage.
They hit it off fine enough, then he suggests they hang out together right after. Mirage says, "sure! Can my boyfriend tag along?"
And this sends the guy into an internal panic that he was just flirting with a taken woman. He barely manages to keep his cool in agreeing. And almost loses it again when he sees that she's dating an Infernal.
When Macabre and the guy are alone, Macabre admits that he's well aware of his original intentions, but won't fault him for a sincere accident. Just that as long as he doesn't try to flirt with Mirage again, they could all get along.
So yeah, this is essentially a decent chunk of romantic comedy situations.

Sort of sounds like something Fox, Sasha and Kevin would get into before the reveal that Sasha and Kevin are an item.

Re: Art Thread
Nice OC, Bandit1990. Despite his modest shy appearance, I bet he has the power to be a starr.
Whelp, many of us can probably sympathize becoming a third wheel. Jackelope or not, Good work D-Rock.
Here's Verna the Vixen Enchantress. After using her magic to keep her forest lush in the face of countless fires and drought, the sun has finally set on her life... Oh well, at least she made it to be 200 years old. Hopefully she left something good in her will.

Her demise is greatly lamented since she seems most enchanting. Really well-crafted rendition, dry!
Re: Art Thread
Impressive work as usual, Nicholas! Very nice work with all your draws, D-Rock. Cool design for your character, Bandit1990.

Thanks, Bat.
Also, it's somber when you're fully aware of your impending end. But let's hope that the legacy she leaves behind will be remembered for a long time.

Looking pretty good for 200.
Douglas isn't my real name, but because of a name block put on me by a higher-order being known as Djinni, I can't say my real name.

Its also depressing when you realize you won't have any time to use your special new OC but I digress.

Re: Art Thread
Thanks everyone.
The story I originally had in mind for Verna was that she and several others were granted a finite supply of otherworldly magic. In theory, they could each use that magic to live for over 10000 years. Verna used the majority of her magic to help keep her forest green and healthy. However, being very shy, she did this in secrecy. Only a few have ever met her and only one (Arezzo) knew of her power.

So is she just gonna go to bed peacefully and never wake up?

"Care for a drink?"
Been wanting to do this for a long while, just to see how something made purely out of colored lines would look.

Have to say that it looks really trippy.
Re: Art Thread
Obtained "Midnight Snack!"
Wanted to draw something cute, decided to practice in chibi style. Oddly weird to get right. Winged the meat completely. I did intend to draw up more and make it a gif of changing food, but didn't feel like putting in that effort today.
Also, this was the smallest thing I've ever sketched up.

Nice touch on the neon style for Ermina, D-Rock. If she ever opens a bar, such a sign will surely catch attention.
And chibi Mirage looks adorable.

Oooh! That looks really nice! I hope she can finish it all!
Re: Art Thread
Thanks!
I've actually thought of Ermina being one to make her own drinks on the side, often experimenting. Being a Celestial, I doubt time to ferment something isn't an issue.
As for Mirage finishing this, it's less an issue of "can she finish It?" And more an issue of "how much time is she willing to spend to eat?"

I'll take 3 hours for $200 Alex!
Re: Art Thread
Seriously chunk ... Kinda cute, too.
Re: Art Thread
Thanks. Cute was my aim, and hopefully I'll be able to reach the same caliber in the future.
Oh, you SEVERELY underestimate Mirage when it comes to food.Amazee Dayzee wrote:I'll take 3 hours for $200 Alex!

Re: Art Thread
okay now i have a mental image of that little thing with the cheeks deformed in the shape of the meat & bone, as if she tried to eat the entire thing in one bite, just answering "What?" innocently to amazed/appalled stares.

Huh, wasn't thinking that cartoonish.
More of a "once past the mouth, it practically ceases to exist on the outside" as her fastest time.

...a very fair point.

Elastic cheeks does work for chipmunk mouths........
Re: Art Thread
After speaking with Jolty on the Discord, realized that I should really try to consolidate the main info of my characters. So I made Bio Sheets!
Frankly, I'm surprised that Macabre wasn't next, myself. That's rather old art of Mirage, and the image of Ermina is an edited version of the colored line version I posted earlier.

Spoiler warning! Until he murders you, he is the main villain/antagonist. if you have not played Mario the music box and maybe the true ending, don't read if you want to experience the story without spoilers.

You could have posted that in the Avatar thread. Unless you drew it yourself. It's a neat one, regardless.

Re: Art Thread
Yay, character summaries! I'm guessing that Ermina is a master of drunken boxing. And Macabre doesn't like spiders, interesting ("Spiders... Why did it have to be spiders?...").
Re: Art Thread
I've actually been thinking of Ermina being completely incapable of getting drunk. Even when she wants to. In fights, she switches from "classy lady" to "wild beast" on a dime.
Macabre being scared of spiders was one of my traits passed on to him. I wanted to "humanize" him a bit, as he was coming off as way too stoic. I had a fear of spiders, so decided, hey, let's make Macabre afraid of spiders.
I kid you not, as I was writing that originally, a spider was making its way to my mouse hand. It died immediately after that.
New bio!
