Can't believe I'm saying this but I'm with Kitsune on this one; Who's to say won't backstab him once they become immortal again?

They're totally gonna backstab him. Well, at least Pete is.

I think he knows this pair well
and, frankly, he does have a point;
after knowing them for eons,
he fears what they’ll do to this joint.
It helps to have learned the lessons
he wanted you to learn, good kits.
He knows that what you might do
would have Bahamut spinning fits.
Only actions will prove your worth
to one who knows all of your tricks;
especially with the power
to burn the Earth down into bricks...

Honestly, I can't ever see them teaming up with the Demons. Likely scenario would be the three of em would tussle around until Bahamut tells em all to knock it off.Harry Johnathan wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 5:58 am They're totally gonna backstab him. Well, at least Pete is.

I didn't mean to suggest they'd go as far as... that. I meant to insinuate exactly what you did, they'd just use their powers to fight each-other not on any side.

“Backstab” is a full-on betrayal for another side. An ally feels comfortable turning their back on you because they trust you, hence “backstab” is a betrayal of that trust.

Uhm, but, if Great Kitsune is now living a mortal life as father of Craig and Draig, how can he be back as demigod and do what they're asking? He should die before, and Kix will remain alone... And then, Great Kitsune has a point there: back as Pete and Spirit Dragon they could backstab him. That's good, yeah, but not enough as proof of learn lesson, Draig.

Kit's not a mortal, Cesc. Although he might well be after all this is done...

I don't know why Kitsune is bothering to refuse Craig and Draig's request when it is obvious that they have Kix's support behind them. She's gonna force Kitsune to turn them back because I foresee her getting her way. Even after that though she still is able to scold and chastise Pete and Dragon.

I have to agree with Kitsune here. The respect and affection for mortals - as well as the struggles they face - he wanted them to learn is something they clearly haven't learned. They're also still annoyed at him for forcing them into it despite the fact they knew that's what would happen if they lost in their pre-game game. He fears that, as soon as this trouble is sorted, they'll be right back to what they were doing. And he's probably right.

It probably doesn't really help that Kitsune is so smug about it and basically taunts them with it and seems to like their suffering. He needs to be a lot more humble. I DO think that he will have it forced upon him. Either by becoming a mortal or Kix beating it into him.

I don’t see how Kitsune gets beaten into it considering he willingly lets himself get beaten to make Kix happy. I’m more likely to believe she talks or guilts him into it.

Somehow someway Kix is going to get her own way as I see it coming a mile away. Kix seems to have more sway over Kitsune because Kitsune I think is actually in love with her. Therefore i have no doubt she will get her way and have them turned back. Then proceed to still have the same power over Pete and Dragon that a mother has over a naughty child.

Did Grape's "or was it?" feather vanish or turn into a pile of fox fur when Pete was turned into a fox? Just wondering. ...I know, I know,Craig...."Stop remembering things"

Do we think that Grape still has the feather? She strikes me as the kind of cat to throw something away after a while.

...that neither or you can be trusted, Craig...
--
Turn them back, yeah, not a chance,
The world's already in a perilous dance
That of which neither seem to be aware-
So change them back? He wouldn't dare.
They need to have learned something first-
And wouldn't you know that it's the worst-
You'd think that it'd be, well, a given-
When you're fed, don't leave a paw bitten.

I'm sure that once he gets his Celestial body back Pete is going to try to make Kitsune as miserable as he is making him right now. Though Kitsune will probably set up a stipulation that his powers won't work against him.
